FANTRAC has a no-tolerance spam policy. Permission-based marketing only works when there's permission. Our customer support staff actively monitors client import lists and e-mail messages. Any client found to be using FANTRAC's services for spam will be immediately removed from our client roster. If you know of or suspect any violators, please notify us immediately at: abuse@FANTRAC.com The CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 establishes the first national standards for the sending of commercial e-mail. Violators can be liable for up to $250 per message violation, and may even serve up to five years in prison. FANTRAC always uses best practices when it comes to e-mail communication. This new law reinforces our service standards. In addition to the systems already in place at FANTRAC, please use these tips to ensure that your company does not become an accidental spammer: 1. NEVER add an e-mail address to your company's database without getting explicit permission from the recipient. When someone provides you with their e-mail address, you must be sure to acknowledge that they are giving you permission to contact them via e-mail. Also notify them of your company's privacy policy. 2. When any fan requests to be added or removed from your database, be sure to record their name, e-mail address, the date of the request, and note how they contacted you. Honor their requests immediately. DO NOT delete or destroy any requests as that communication may be needed as evidence in a dispute. Contact your FANTRAC account manager IMMEDIATELY if you need help to manually remove someone from the database. 3. Do not "sit on" e-mail addresses that need to be added to your database. Add them immediately so that fans are "reminded" through FANTRAC's e-mail confirmation process ("double opt-in" procedure) that they signed up to receive communications from your company. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact us at: info@FANTRAC.com
